The Red Beanbag, Publika

Hey peeps!

I’m finally back at the 51200 postcode.

Well, temporarily. Can’t wait till I fly off to Kota Kinabalu to meet the boy and have him as my valentine ^__^

Anyways, I figured it’s about time for me to write about some eats that I’ve been up to during my time here in KayElle. Procrastination sucks big time, and this blog of mine is lacking pictures of food. Thus, not drool-worthy anymore. I shall now return this baby of mine her glory that she deserves.

So… The Red Beanbag claims that they are not your usual. True, in the sense that their menu offers a pretty wide variety of breakfast, brunch and lunch items that got me hooked. There is a lot of Aussie-styled brunch items on the menu. Even the coffee beans that they use come from Rubra that hails from Western Australia.

My makan kakis…

Thing that I love about this place is that it offers all day breakfast! Perfect for a lazy pig like me who loves to sleep in.

Latte, $8

Baked Eggs, $17.90

Red Beanbag’s Signature, $19.90

Trouty Mouth, $18

Coffee was just alright. A little bit too light and bland as the milk takes over majority of the flavour. Food wise, my favourite was definitely the Trouty Mouth! Fresh pieces of smoked salmon on top of avocado.. Yummy!

The Big breakfast was hearty. I liked the usage of Shimeji mushrooms as they are one of favourites, but my makan kakis thought that button mushrooms would be a better idea as it kinda overpowered the rest of the elements. The baked eggs on the other hand… was horrid. It was overcooked and really dry!

Ah, it’s so hard to give a rating for The Red Beanbag as it is kinda between a two and a three…. maybe I shall give it a 2.5?

The Red Beanbag’s rating: 2.5/4
